The Missus reckons I suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder when it comes to cleaning the bike. She would call in the men in white coats but knows I'd just take their coats to use for cleaning.
Clean before a ride, clean after a ride, shit I'm sick Doc I've cleaned while on a ride. How did I ever cope with dirt riding?
Bikes deserve the best treatment we can give them. Must rush now, just heard what sounded suspiciously like dust settling down in the garage. This could take hours to sort.
Happiness is a means of travel, not a destination
Well, I cleaned my bike for the first time, this weekend. I kid you not![]()
So what do you guys use? I used hot water with a turtle wax car clean stuff and dried off with a chamois. I used to use a MOtul product called Motowash which was pretty good, wasnt to keen on using the steam cleaner at work. I guess ArmourAll is still popular? What do you use on plastic fairings and the screen, some stuff can react pretty funny, huh?

I don't bother,I gave it a cut and polish once and you couldn't tell the difference if you'd seen my bike you'd know what I mean.
When I had a bike worth cleaning I used to pay a groomer to do it.
Your XJ? umm, yeah, OK maybe I should clean mine more often![]()
Whats up with ya Bike Gav . Looks like you wish it was a Suzuki {PT}![]()

" QUICKER THAN YOU SLOWER THAN ME "
My bikes just get a hose-down if they get dusty, can't really be bothered using products on them, kinda defeats the purpose of being a biker...
Its the new paint job, pretty much finished, just waiting for dark double bubble screen. Bruce Anstey told me black bikes are faster, so there ya goOriginally Posted by Sensei 509

It's 9am saturday morning
the sun is shining
your drinking your coffee trying to work out what to do with your day.
you have just enough time to go meet some mates to go for a ride.
But horror of horrors, some chain oil is splattered over the rear and there is road dirt over the fairing and engine from the last month's commuting.
What do you do,
a. Use your bike and ride, dirt and all
b. Get the bucket out and start frantically cleaning, and hope to make lunch...
hmmm... 'a' for me please![]()
I am also under the impression that removing the grease and oil is bad for the bike, afterall what protects better than a nice thick gungy layer of grease?
So unless I am taking a part off to work on all it gets is a lick and a promise![]()

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - CRC AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE CRC. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE
