Stung by quota-filling bitch on my noob plate

Obviously the guy doing 130 in front of me was far too much effort for the plain clothes cop that pulled me over for doing 103 fucking km/h whilst displaying my L plate.

It seriously makes me think about taking it off if it's just gonna make me a target for evening traffic quota filling.

She quoted me some some statistics to make me feel guilty and I nodded my head whilst knowing that none of them were relevant to me being 30 and on a 150cc wearing high vis and full gear.

    Thanks officer... drive safe now.

    Rant over.

I wouldn't mind the 70 limit so much if it was actually possible to travel between Wellington and Hutt valley without being basically forced into travelling at 100. Unless I was on the cycle path theres no way I would go 70 or less except under but peak traffic conditions, it would be suicide.

That's total crap. Even at 103km/h you are the slowest vehicle on the road and you get tail gated up the arse. It safer the stay with the flow of traffic than have everyone pissed off and packed up behind you.

    hey
knowing the telling off was righteous
and knowing you were out of line
does NOT mean you aren't entitled to a little rant about it when others seem to get away with murder, people

    - i know it makes ME decidely scratchy when i can get pulled over for a minor infringement in this town whilst a whole posse of outlaw bikers can not only flagrantly flout the helmet laws but can ALSO get a respectful police escort while they are riding 20 long and 3 deep along the highway doing it -

people can be forgiven for thinking that some policepersons go after the softer targets

    commiserations, Lurch.

Wrong, he wasn't breaking any speed restrictions. Only a license restriction.

As above. Traveling at over 70kph on a learner license is not breaking the speed limit, don't ever let a cop do you for that, all they can do you for a breaching a condition of your license which is 25 demerits and $400.

Gutted to hear mate, if i were you, I would ditch it. They're just attention seeking targets for cops and dick head road users.

I doubt John would have even had a chance to look at that problem, in case you havn't noticed, there's more serious issues in out country that need dealing to first!
