I would assume he would be out of action for a while and therefore it would be safe to rush off to his house and nick all his stuff. Then if I find out later that he died at least his mate would get his stuff and not his rellies who don't deserve it anyway.

If I was the one that binned and it wasn't a major, I'd be wanting my mate to fuck off out of there, no point him being unnecessary collateral damage.

As we've discussed recently, though, the penalty for failing to stop is usually sweet bugger all, so it's not as though you'd be facing life in prison for abandoning the runner. I'd lean in favour of stopping unless the guy in the ditch obviously wanted me to carry on.
