A great day out at Thundercross today. First time out in almost a year and on my new (to me) bike. It was also great to catch-up with some KBers out there. Xen and 2SLO and a few others. The bike has just been cleaned and i'm already looking forward to the next time. Mr Motorcycles rides ???

Yep really enjoyed the ride sorry i did not get to meet you "Baldyman"

It was great catching up with xen and 2slo.
Sorry for taking you on the A loop 2slo..............all good in the end though ah mate!!

James has bulldozed most of the A loop which is great. Needs some rain on it to settle it down, lots of loose stuff.
Plenty of dust out there today, hard to belive it was so wet a few weeks ago.

Yeah was a cool day out, so dry there now, only a couple of small boggy bits now and managed to face plant in one of them.

Good to have a ride with you Gravel911 or should I say trying to keep up, 2slo was caning it on the B track at the end.

Cool to see you again Baldyman, yea meetup next time

Yep a good day, I started out in my usual style, SLOW. That A loop was a bit of killer especially when I seemed to wonder of course and managed to find the only piece of swamp land and proceeded to bury the front and then the rear. Digging a bike out is an energy draining experience.
Slowly getting use to the KTM, the two last runs we did in the afternoon on the B loop, started to gel for me and surprisingly required the least amount of effort.
It was great meeting everyone, Gravel you can certainly move a bike at speed, impressive.
Xen, thanks for being so patient.

Rode thunder cross the other day

Nice open track, but found it a bit rutted for my liking, the old cattle give it a rough time, quite easy to bale, $20 is good value for money , Kimmy's is better maintained more easily to ride, and a bit faster but $35.

a good bulldoze would be good, it being so rough puts me off going there more often. kimmys isnt anything special they had all winter to groom the track and they didnt even do it, for 35 bucks a ride youd expect them to do some maintainence.

Ha ha 2_SLO you are way too hard on yourself and too generous on your comments about my bike skills!!!!!!!!!

That’s great you are starting to get used to the KTM.

I thought the A loop was the best I have seen it in most places. There are a couple of places that could do with some attention with the bulldozer on the B track that have got pretty rutted and bumpy.
Certainly makes you respect those parts………would make for a big off if you got it wrong.
