You know they call the touring versions of Cruisers "bagger's" in the US right? So now you're bagging the orginal bagger by bagging his sporty ride through associating it with a bagger.

We are talking frame here are we not?

Oh so true! Take a look at a late model car in the sunlight and you may see how transparent some of the paint jobs are.
Cheers for that i will contact crazefox and see what he thinks. And yes it is the frame/fueltank

But what would I know? I like KTM's matt/gloss mixed finish.
Hey was only asking other peoples opinions on this matter, not getting at buell or the dealer.

Who knows it could be a bad batch of paint but without me posting i wouldnt know if others have had an issue with theres...

I know what you're saying, but it's a public forum and you haven't given the dealer, the distributor, or indeed Buell themselves the opportunity to sort things out for you before publicly calling their product crap.

By all means have a go if they come back to you and say, "Meh, serves you right for having thunder thighs", but I don't think that it's fair play to publicly insult a company and their network before they've even come back to you.

Right now, there are people Googling Buell 1125R and your post comes up on the second page of Google results. The more people who look at this post the further it goes up the list.

they had simmular issues with the new CBR1k. Some of the bikes didnt have enough time to have the paint cured.

There are also known issues with the Street Triple Tank at knee contact point. Pisses me off no end as it takes the (paint) shine off such a quality machine. No excuses for it really

    Hey Balzy

Mine has done the same-noticed it after the 1000k as well. I thought it was because I was holding on for dear life with my knees!!
A friend told me it would do this so I just figured there was nothing to be done about it. (mine has done nearly 4000ks).

Let me know how you get on......

Oh dear, another sad little post from the man who thinks sarcasm is wit.

    Hey Monamie,

Was woundering about yours aye.doesnt seem right to me that paint can wear off so easily.specially with such low kms.my thoughts are maybe bikes were rushed through as there was a delay..

Could be something to do with the 25th ann' ones?
I can't say I've really looked at any others but yeah the paint must be fairly thin there to rub off so easily....or it could be our `thunder thighs' heehee!!
(think that is more for the likes of mine as it does not apply to yours at all)

The guys are really good at Welly MC (if you got it from there)...if it is a design fault they will fix it for sure.
I just got a recall letter for my windscreen too...something about it flying off at high speed..how exciting. I will be making a trip down to Welly soon as I think they are just replacing the rubber bungs that hold it on with something more substantial. I will mention the paint and see what they suggest.

All in all though...man I love my bike. Went to BOP and back last week and it was just mint

fuck an yea its a public forum...good on you raising a question..

and indeed there appear to be faults that other riders are finding common...

some of ya's wet weather gear can cut through the clear-coat on a finish..as to rough leather...might need clear plastic applied to the area involved with fade wear

From what i can see balzy didn't bag out the company and never said anythng about buell being crap!!!! This like someone else said is a public forum, Dosent that in it's self mean you share your views and stuff? All balzy wants is some advice and info from like minded people and not to bag out buell, I guess some people have nothing better to do than moan about what others write, LOL, Good luck with the paint job situation balzy, If Buell don't come to the party( which i'm sure they will ) you have some good advice from people here, Do let us know how you get on and good luck
