Seriously though, that is one hell of a bruise, you must be feeling pretty sore and pissed off, there are worse places to be than Gizzy I'm sure. Glad you have access to a computer, I've checked out all the bike shops in Gizzy today and they all have bugger all in the way of bikes for sale, except there is a honda vtr 250 in great condition in Gis Honda, but it didn't have a price tag. You do realise your next bike needs to be a honda don't you! Was it Gisborne hospital that took 36 hours to determine you had broken bones?, if so that is shameful to say the least.
Captive is correct!! 36 hours at the wellington hospital. Surgeon came saturday morning and told me about the breaks. Will look for another bike when I can ummm...sit again and do this

Crikey Sean. That ain't good news. Tough luck about the bin.

Get well soon. I look forward to seeing you on a bike - I haven't even got to meet you yet!

If you're taking morphine lay off the - they don't go well together ...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

    Jeez Ramius, that's some bruise!

Like Blakamin said, if there's anything we can do pse let us know.

Dude, I feel for you with that bruise. For a mates stag party a few years back we went off to Roto-vegas and tried our hand at White Water Sledging (highly recommended). Great fun until about 1km from the end going through a shallow rapid and I let my leg drop in the water and slammed into a rock at about 20km/h . Inside left leg had deep bruising from knee to sac and had done nerve and muscle damage. Couldn't walk once back on dry land (had to leave the boys to party later that night without me) and 3 monhts of physio and my leg is still tender and the muscles never really healed properly.

I'd do it again though, so good on ya for planning to get back on the horse.

Crikey Ramius thats a hell of a bruise. Really sorry to hear about your bin after our ride - what a way to end a good night out. I have only just got back to a computer to catch up with whats been happening. I have been in Gisbourne for a few days would you believe? If I had known I would have come to see you. My cage broke while I was there (ignition switch - bloody Hondas) and I had to wait for the part to come on overnight courier.
Hope you have a quick and hassle free recovery and look forward to seeing you on 2 wheels again soon
