It may have been Westie and me, I had the yellow Suzuki RM and Westie had the YZ with the pink seat? Is your bike sweet or KO'd for a while?

Ooh yup, you two! I don't think it's too munted, it's just like the clutch won't disengage. So it starts fine and I can go up and down the gears but it's got no drive. I'm gonna fiddle for a bit and see if I can get it going, otherwise I might just take it into spectrum or wherever later this week and let them work their magic. Unless of course one of you KB gurus has a bright idea about what can be done, those are always welcome
Good thing I'm busy this upcoming sunday anyway, I guess...

A new clutch is no big deal to install.

Sounds like you should give it a crack Punch.

Try fiddling with the clutch lever adjustment. I noticed it didn't have any free play which is a bit dodgy. So it may not have been getting full clutch pressure to the fly wheel and therefore had been slipping a bit all along. This may explain why it gave up the ghost.

Another theory is that its probably had a bit of abuse from a couple of learners :P

We did an oil change on it about 3 rides ago, wonder if we got the wrong oil or something? 4t wet clutch bike oil should be sweet. 10W-40 as spec'd.

Any special tools required for replacing the clutch? Torque wrench and a socket set?

Oh crap never thought about having a look at it. Something to do with almost dying on a jump a minute before hand.
Is the gearbox fluid separate from the engine sump oil? If it is then only gearbox oil would do. Most other oils would make it slip.
Spectrum are awesome or if you want a hand give us a pm

Clutch shouldnt have fried theyre pretty hardy.. Have you tryed adjusting the freeplay on the lever or engine casing? Then dump the oil and have a sniff youll soon know if its fried.. Or give us a yell if you need a hand
