    NOV 25 WARNING - HUGE oil or diesel spill on State Highway 2

    Police investigate huge spill
    Stuff.co.nz | Tuesday, 25 November 2008

    Police are investigating a 21km-long oil or diesel spill on State Highway 2 in the Counties-Manukau district.


    The spill affects a stretch of road from the intersection of State Highway 1 through to Maramarua township.

    Police are advising motorists to take extreme care on the affected area of road and say they have already attended one accident where a van has rolled.

    Police say they have contacted Transit for signage to warn motorists and to clean the road
