Well I got back from the Burt rally on Wednesday, we did at least 2500km.
Other than a blown tail light bulb my 2006 Hyosung GT250 never skipped a beat. (now at 32334km total)

I even managed to get up Baldwin Street with a Pillion.

Nearly all problems with Hyosung have come down to poor dealer peparation.
I have 17600 and something kilometers on mine, she just gets fed oil and fuel..I get around 26 km/s per litre. I have no issues with the quality as such, the stock Shinko tyres are nasty in the wet and the brakes do have a wooden feel..they do the job, but lack feedback..EBC goodness will cure that and braided lines will boost braking performance.
I was unsure about the brand so of course a lot of web surfing was done to find out more, most of the people who shun the idea of a Korean bike never rode or owned one and as I said a lot of problems were from dealers.
I guess the feeling towards them is like when Jap bikes came onto the market, the Triumph and Harley riders gave them the same welcome..Jap crap, now they lead the way and there are more and more Jap parts on a Harley.
The GT250 is my tenth bike, feed her good oil and service regularly and I have no reason to doubt her longevity, matter of fact I trust the GT250 more than the Honda VT250.

Its OK unrealone - DB often reads things that arnt there - it goes with the voices in his head.

The upshot is that they are not great bikes - just because someone is a fan-boi of the make dosnt make it a good bike.

Until you get some KB asshole riding behind you with HID lights on full beam because they dont give a fuck about other riders safety huh DB?

tis better to be a asshole on the interweb than on the road else before you "you destroy something in your life that you value"

The GT650 is the most fun I have had out of all the bikes I have owned, have had 40+ bikes in my 25 years of riding.

In all honesty the build quality is not really any different to that of Suzuki.

Every bike I have owned has had problems of some sort, the list of problems and design faults is endless.

It just feels better to own up a bunch of wannabe smacktards, and born agains on their flashy new sportsbikes when I carve past them on the 'Dunga' , I can smell their humiliation...
