the extreme horsepower of my machine seems to chew thru back tyres at a rate of about, oh, once every millenium, maybe twice if i stopped being a pussy.

    Crikey

5000+ 8000+ kms outta rears, if only i could get that sorta mileage, life would be alot cheaper thats for sure, i normaly run pilot sports on the rear and i'm stoked if i get more than 2000km outta them (2300km best) have got a power on the front now and waiting to chew the rest of the rear out beofre replacing that with a power (only to get even less k's ), worst i've had was a Avon AV40 which lasted a week and half with 700km, man that was an expensive week, TL's are rather hard on rears though. Wonder what mileage other TL riders get on here?

Have you done a shock upgrade?
I've heard it's well worth it in extra tyre life.

Nope not yet, anytime i had any sort of money i'd biff it down the road but in saying that i'd rather just buy a newish bike that did everything better straight outta the box, how much money would you have to spend on a TLS to get it anywhere near the performance of a 01-02 600cc. Is it worth it?
