The best thing about doing nothing is resting afterwards
40k on the RF900... soon it will stop on the side of the road and you will need a new stator.. ya wont need one on the 'onda.
David must play fair with the other kids, even the idiots.
PM yod and he'll be able to tell ya. I know he loves his Blackbird!
Nunquam Non Paratus
You'll lose a shorter turning radius at full lock.
That's all.
Enjoy your new Blackbird. I miss mine every day.
RF is a great bike and will last pretty well
Blackbird is overall better IMO, more refined, heinously more powerful, (read, eat more rear tyres and use more gas), better brakes (linked, which may or may not concern you), a bit more bulky but not much, i barely notice the difference, both are good two-up. The new dash (i think '02-'03 onwards?) is far superior also.

I just traded my SV1000s in for a 2004 Blackbird with 11,000kms on the clock and it was the best thing I could have done!
Honestly, it's got more power than you can ever use on the road, it's really stable, loads of fun in the twisties and sounds fantastic when it gets going. I reckon it's a keeper!
LOL. 78000 miles and going strong.
Blackbird is nice but too fat and heavy.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Both RF900s and Blackbirds can boast huge mileage with only regular service intervals and no major rebuilds. The Bird is heavy but only stationary.. so long as you have the legs to hold it if you accidentally have a brain fart at the gas station or something, you won't ever notice the weight.
Too late!!!! Picked up the Black Beast 2day
