Havin' some bad luck with the Honda's huh mentalfacility...........not test the bike after a service tho'.......corse' they have to test it, that's why you send it to a trained professional, anything less would be almost criminally irresponsible and frankly a bit of a rip off.
Find it hard to believe anyone would believe a test ride is unnecessary.
Machine Spirit
A Machine Spirit is a spirit believed by the Adeptus Mechanicus (and, from that source, by most other humans from the Imperium of Man) to inhabit and control a piece of machinery.
The functioning, or lack thereof, of any machine is believed to be the result of its spirit's disposition. To keep their machine spirits happy and cooperative, operators therefore make numerous ritualized advances to their machinery. These depend on the machine, but in most cases include various maintenance rituals and prayers of function and occasionally also an offering or libation. This is increased if the machine is large and/or important.
Machine spirits are believed to be bestowed by the Machine God and subservient to him. They are in every vital weapon used by those who following the Emperor. From bolters to power armor, the blessing of the Machine God allows for the Emperor's enemies to be defeated.
Might this help?

How much damage has been done to the bike? Isnt it normally a matter if a two week old bike was damaged your insurance company would replace it? With replacement fairings, exhaust etc as mentioned think I'd be asking for a brand new one. Anyone else?

I know some insurance companies will replace a brand new bike with another brand spanker inside first year of ownership. Its why sometimes you see near new bikes written off. Its not just the cost of the repair, the policy is too replace the bike.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.
Thats sucks, but at least everyone is playing the game right and fixing it for you![]()

God is trying to tell you to buy a Suzuki.
From what i saw the bike is generally fine, its just the front thats messed up.
Im not sure if they gonna give me a new bike.
Even if its a repaired bike , you do have the rite to inspect at handover time to see if the bike is to your satisfaction. Most policies have a clause saying something like " replacement condition "which means if its not as good a condition as the original was prior to the accident then you can demand it be made so.
Good luck with the bike and it sounds like the shop has got on top of it for you anyway. Good on them.
Paul.
