you're on drugs or limp wristed if you think the 750 has a) as much torque or b) as much top end speed....!! your nuts to think they'll compete in a straight line.

i've been privileged to ride 'em all and i'd chose a 1000 based on your question. basically because you can ride the 1000 just the same way as you would a 600 or 750 but you cant ride the 600 or 750 the same way as you can a 1000....

The 600 you have to work, the 750 has more power but i expected teh gap between the 600 and 750 to be bigger and the the gap from the 750 to the 1000 to be less.. unofrtuntaley they're not and you have to make the 750 scream to ...well.... scream. The thousand will purr, scream or shout blue murder !

but if i were in the market .. i'd buy a hooligan motard toy .. one with BALLS !

I have had a K8 750 on demo for the last couple of days, and I have to say, it knocked my sox off. read my review...

I do also feel that they are over priced a bit for what they are though...

I think that in most situations it will be quicker from point to point than the 1000 is, and it would also be quicker point to point than the 600.

    heh heh heh...

The 750 is overpriced when you consider what you get for another $1k (1000) with all the torque etc, but if you don't want a 1000, the 750 will comfortably keep up with thous past the 200 mark.

Depends what you want when riding... some like to feel like they are using the bike, like the screaming etc. Others love having the torque, and not having to constantly play with the gearbox to keep it happy.

    What do you like?

I went for the '08 CBR over the K7 750. Am sure I'd pick the 675 over it for the same reasons. They're both more torqey than the other 600's and both handle great out of the box.

The 750 pricing is just all wrong. Easier to get the 1000cc and run it in C mode if you can't handle the power

Well not compete but rather keep up with the thousands. But yes each bike has its own pro's and con's.

Thanks once again, Poos, for the offer. The answer is still no, I'm afraid
Rest assured, when I become embarrassingly rich, I will take your 810 off your hands!

Seems like the people at Wellington Motorcycles reckon the 750 is better than the thou...
They want $19.250 for the 750 but $18.999 for the thou...

If you were gonna buy a GSXR wouldya go for the 600 or 750? Reasons? No interest in anything bigger than that.........

If money isn't a deciding factor I'd get the 750. Very similar handling but the extra power is great.

If it was my money I'd be asking why I'm paying more for the 750 than the thou so the 600 would win on price.

Ride them back to back and you'll love one or the other. For me the 750 was that much more fun to ride.

I suspect either of them would have more than enough power to get me pinched............even the SV needs a tight rein.....

750 for me. Unfortunately at the moment they cost more than the 1000, only because of summerfest pricing. There are one or two brand new K7 models still about the place, they've been selling for about 16k. Good buying at that.
With the 750, you get the handling of the 600 with a lot more hp and torque. Without trying to sound like a loyal purchaser, my K6 sem fiddy is the best bike I have ever owned.... and that's after owning four GSX-R1000s as well

Yep, same for me. If money not the issue, the 750 is a fantastic package. Pretty much as nimble as my 600, but a bit more power.

Thinking about it you'd probably miss the torque down low on the 600. The 750 would be more like the SV down low but a whole other level in the high RPMs
