We are finding it difficult to pick out camping/cabin sites which take pets. See attachment.
Any advice?

Retired- just some guy with a few bikes......
Nice setup. Dunno if my lab would be that keen...
Not really sure about where you can find places that'll take you & the dog but I've been using http://www.jasons.com/New-Zealand/ to plan some of my accomodation for the Southern Cross. Maybe you can find some info there...
well if you are near the waitaki valley ( waitaki/Aviemore/Benmore Dams) you can freedom camp with your dog..we take ours, dont think he would be to keen on riding on the bike
heres one for you evo...
Get the book 'the complete Pet travel guide' by Pauline Wagner
I guess she is still doing yearly updates on this book. Witcolls use to sell it a few years ago- haven't looked for it since. It covered motels, camp grounds etc from all over the country. The other option is contact the NZ Kennel club- those people must have some idea as they travel everywhere with there dogs & some off the smaller clubs in different regions have camping facilities too. I've heard the canterbury kennel association do out at Mcleans island.
Have a good trip & I hope ya got some doggles for ya pooch.
PS if any boarding kennel has space for over xmas now they must be dodgy or had last minute cancelations. Most good Kennels & cattery's are booked full from 1/2 way through the year with waiting lists. Most people get to Easter & book for xmas.
Some listed here allow dogs, but some not during peak periods

I suggest you find listings on AA or Jasons website and email camp grounds in all the areas you want to stay - or try their (or your) local information centre as they may be able to help.
I wish I could take our dog with us but being lab size she's a bit bit too big/heavy to go on the back. I'd love to get a sidecar for her but I'd need a bigger bike as well.
Some days you are the bug, some days you are the windshield
Does the dog have any eye protection like googles or something?
As a well-spent day brings happy sleep, so life well used brings happy death
