Welly to Taupo road trip at the weekend

This weekend was a chance to get out with a few friends for a road trip. We set off from Wellington, headed up the Pahiatua track, broke down outside the Tui brewery (really, I did - battery died!). Once I fitted a new battery and got going, we headed up towards Napier, cut through Rissington and on to Taupo.

On the way home we headed down towards Wanganui on the parapara's and home down SH1. I learnt a few things during the weekend.

    1. When your headlight flashes in sequence with your indicators, get the electrics checked out before a big trip.
    2. Either my suspension or my arse needs adjusting.
    3. I need to get out more.

Here's a quick video with a few photos, clips etc.

Yes there is, but not at the falls. It's a couple of ks south at the Fields track turn off.

Yeah I've only heard good things about it too, never made it there myself, it was closed by the time we moved here, but lots of people miss it!
