    Kraut helmets

The story about that bloke in chch wearing no helm got me thinking.

Does anyone know if you can get a "Kraut" style helmet thats even vaguely a safety approved helmet as opposed to just a fiberglass/metal shell?

I love the look of them (watching big fat pricks wearing krauts on harleys, nortons, triumphs etc is what started me on the path to riding when I was a kid) but I'm not keen enough to wear something that offers SFA protection..

Anyone heard of anything like this?

Dude... Unless you ARE a "big fat pricks wearing krauts on harleys, nortons, triumphs etc" imagine what they are going to think / do to you wearing one while on your GN250.....

    Don't do it!

I nearly choked on my coke just thinking of turning up at Puhoi with it on the GN. You'd find out who had a sence of humour.

Look... I think this is a daft idea right...

    This from their website

Warning!: These helmets DO NOT meet DOT (Department of Transportation) specifications. They are NOT intended for use on any motorized vehicles. They are NOT designed to be a safety helmet and will NOT protect your head on impact.

As for a pic, I posted one in my n00bie thread :-)

And yes given my size (I'm 6'2 and a pretty big lad) I looked more than slightly rediculous on a TR50 but it still got me around town LOL :-) Hell the GN still looks a bit small for me :-) But one day I'll get a real license and be able to sell my family to whtie slave traders to afford a big bike :-)
