I'd have been getting pissed if I were him... sure it's good looking enough, but surely as a designer he'd be itching to make the next big thing?

I agree. They have stagnated with the design.

The problem lies in replacing them and the public ridicule that follows. Look at the 916/999/1098 series as an example.

Yeah, 999 is ageing a hell of a lot better than the 1098 with its flower petal wheels though
