I was checking out the old place I used to live and there was a photo of a guy getting some camera gear out of the back of a station wagon. The interior of the car had been blurred - I suspect he had other expensive gear inside there too.
All faces and number plates seem to be blurred in the NZ version. on some overseas versions they don't seem to be as careful.
To me, all this says, is 'hey! these people have expensive stuff at their house that we have to blur out!' .... like an open invitation for burglars to investigate further! I think it's an invasion of privacy... Unless someone knew where I lived or drove slowly down my street looking in at all the houses, which would kind of draw mega attention from the neighbours and hopefully someone would at least call the police or jot down their number plate, then potential burglars could not skope out specific addresses... Voila! Now they can!!!
