I was checking out the old place I used to live and there was a photo of a guy getting some camera gear out of the back of a station wagon. The interior of the car had been blurred - I suspect he had other expensive gear inside there too.

All faces and number plates seem to be blurred in the NZ version. on some overseas versions they don't seem to be as careful.
To me, all this says, is 'hey! these people have expensive stuff at their house that we have to blur out!' .... like an open invitation for burglars to investigate further! I think it's an invasion of privacy... Unless someone knew where I lived or drove slowly down my street looking in at all the houses, which would kind of draw mega attention from the neighbours and hopefully someone would at least call the police or jot down their number plate, then potential burglars could not skope out specific addresses... Voila! Now they can!!!

i tkinda dose but in my case there is my house the orginal then there are 20 other units which just means someone out of many dosnt want you lookin. Also means they would have to do a fair bit of looking to work out what people dont want you to see.

And they haven't done EVERY street, I'm on a corner section and only the 'main' street has been filmed.

    Some interesting views about this
I think that because its not a constant stream, its not really a major invasion of priacy, unless it has you doing something private!
And even if you are doing something you dont want people seeing, ask them to block it and they will
I dont think this is really any different to people following you home after you buy something expensive, or come back from riding!
If thieves really want to see they will, and they are just as likely to drive down the road and look for them selves, than at an image thats rather old
Its like, these people driving down the road are invading my privacy because they may see something valueable, because thats what the goggle map view is, what you see driving down the road

we may just go where no ones been
