43,000kms since the start of last years Rusty Nuts Grand Challenge!

That makes 3 years in a row I have ridden round the world - just wish it didn't all look like SH1!

    Shameless plug...
Don't forget if you are nuts about Km's you should check out the Rusty Nuts DVD:

Since I got learners just over 15,000km (got learners November last year). And did have bike deregistered June-Aug not using it (more than once or twice).

    So not too bad.

Though I still feel like I'm definitely not riding enough.

How many Kms do you do?

I was wondering how many Kms a year you do on your pride and joy?

I average 30,000kms annually on my F650GS twin and before I bought my bike I used to average 20,000-25,000kms in my car. Last calendar year I only did 7,800ks in my tin top!

So how many Kms do you do bike verses car annually?

Probably about 7-8,000km a year on the bike, and less than 1,000 in a cage. I don't know where you guys find the time or money to do that many kms.

Had this bike 2 months from new
    Just clocked up 3000k's
So I guess 18000 is the possibile expected
But then we are entering winter so 10000 is probably realistic.

About 100 or 120km per month on the bike and 0 in the car. So 1200-1440km per year on the bike and 0 in the car.

I do 140km a day on the train and 10 in the bus though. So about 35,000 per year on the train, 2500 in the bus.

This year I have been deprived of my bike for over three months, but will still click in a whisker under 30,000km ridden on that bike. Big Yam is due its 80,000km service sometime this side of Christmas. Add to that about 10,000km of two-up riding on Mrs H's most excellent GSF650SK6, and 2008 has been most kind indeed.
trouble is Hitcher, (like me 20k minimum a year), when you go to sell said bikes? suddenly they are considered 'knackered' as they've done real working milages.
