    Thumbs up Spectrum Motorcycles

    are brilliant guys.

When my Hyosung blew up about a month and a half ago, I took it into them. Looked it over, pulled it to bits, advised my of what was wrong, and let it sit in their workshop until I heard back from Hyosung (who have done nothing).

Picked it back up (at zero cost for examining it, and storing it for two weeks), and thought that would be the end of it until I could source a new engine for it, as it was too expensive to fix. I'd been ringing all the Wreckers I could fnd in the Yellow Pages, and had serious trouble finding one. In fact I only found one for $1500. Bit too pricey for a large paper weight.

There were two on TradeMe, one which the trader was very shady about answering questions, and the other had been rescued from the bottom of a lake where it had been sitting for 9 months. Uh.... No.

Last week I got a call from Spectrum, saying that they know of someone who has a Hyosung engine to sell. They gave me his number, and presto. Should pick it up this week. 4,500Km on it, for 1/3rd of the price of the only other viable engine.

I like the fact that they went out of their way to get in contact with me, after I hadn't spent any money with them recently, just to let me know that someone could help me.

Utter legends, and I intend to do more business with them.

    Cheers guys.

Yep, Brent and the guys run a good ship. Nice old school values too.

Yep, great shop with good staff. Would have them service my Zooki if Spewzooki NZ would approve it.

    Highly recommend them
