    i think he qualifies the statement later by saying it is they fact they flash and dance around and do not stay "steadily illuminated" is the reason that they are illegal

    The wording is...''stay steadily illuminated''...a straight LED bulb will be ok so long as it's bright enough.

    I can see how a dancing light would be a distraction and would not be passed for a WOF.

    Cheap LED fail not because of the bulb, but because of the mounting is cheap. It isn't water proofed, or is of quick and dirty manufacturing. Cheap soldier, etc all make the electronics fail and not the LED.
    Speed limits are just a suggestion, like pants.

    seen the testing station today and they said that they would pass it.
    but also said in the same breath that many places will probably not pass it.
