I'm surprised you have to ask. Get her to pay for the damage.

If she fucks you about, take her ass to disputes tribunal.

FUCK it pisses me off when dipshits mess with other peoples rides without permission.

I reacon go with a big bill, surprised how much it was etc, then say perhaps you could help out a bit with some cheapo repairs/favours etc. That way you have the big bill to scare, but the possibility of saving some dosh and actually getting somthing. Otherwise you might get nothing....

Shouldn't have to be asking, she should be asking you what SHE should do.

    Damn I wish I was 16 again...

Anyway, feel your pain and all, but I would make life easy by simply going to your insurance company. Telling them what happened and let them sort it out.

Daddy will get a call (cos she is under 18 I take it) and no doubt his contents insurance will be used to pay up for her stupidity.

(I have teenage daughters... they are stupid at times)

Insurance companies deal with this all the time "knock for knock" if I recall.

You break you pay... end of story...

    Good luck

Price it ALL up and give her the bill, she may have a rich daddy who will cough up for her!
You could always give her the heads up and let her know you getting quotes done on her behalf.

Make her pay, then with any luck, she'll think twice about doing it again! Otherwise, she might not get the message and sit on some other persons bike damaging it also!

I might send her a bill for the following:
    New break AND clutch leavers
    New Grips
    New exhaust
    Paint and Labour

I rekn it might come to around

    400ish

And then see the look on her face.

The main thing that pissed me off was i didnt get an appology.
That`s a bit rough, brake and clutch levers and grips, how many times did you let her drop it? I would have told her to pee off after dropping it the first time.

She goes "OMG I'm so embarrased" then she doesn't apologise.

So it's all about her and nothing to do with your bike! Go her son!!!!

Bro, dont let this chick get away with murder !! I reckon you did bloody well to keep a lid on your temper at the time and maybe if she had apoligised it might be different. She broke it she pays for it..... even if it was an accident so what. She has to take responsibility for that and... if she gives you shit take her to the small claims court. You have witnesses you will get your money back.

Yeah well done on staying calm at the time. Now show her the quote for the full works, and show her your excess (+ cost of helmet, as insurance doesn't cover your gear I don't think), and ask her which she'd prefer to pay.

In the states you could probably do her for emotional damage aswell haha.

She's needs to learn a lesson from this. Firstly, not to fuck with other peoples stuff. Secondly, she needs to learn she's not a princess who can do whatever she likes with no consequences. You'll be doing her a favour, cause otherwise she'll turn into an awful self centred princess (sounds like she is already due to lack of apology) of which there seems to be far too many these days.

you are obviously a nice guy ... but that doesn't mean you should have to pick up the tab.

plenty of good advice on here so i won't bother to go into it - main thing is STICK TO YOUR GUNS ... in my experience 'nice guys' don't like conflict and tend to back off when mebbe they shouldn't ... in fact, chances are she wouldn't have gone anywhere NEAR your bike if she hadn't have thought you were a soft touch [trust me NO-ONE that knew me would DREAM of touching my bike, let alone try and stand on it for pity's sake ----- what a diabolical liberty!!]

soooooooo - think what your plan B will be if she says "no way, it was an accident" ...

mebbe something like "i don't believe you meant to damage it - but you did and it isn't reasonable for you to expect me to pay for the damage - anyway i can't afford it.... if we can't come to an agreement about this i'll have to take it further" or whatever.

write yourself a simple outline you feel comfortable with - rehearse it in front of a mirror ..

.. if you have to fall back on your plan B LOOK STRAIGHT AT HER when you tell her ..... of course keep your voice low and don't be threatening but do not step back, do not drop your eyes.... be nice, be reasonable but be firm.

after all, if it was you that had damaged someone's bike, YOU'd pay for the repairs, no?

    good luck with it
and well done on keeping your cool
