Dude, if she is working with you and you're her boss you really need to keep you're posts here tidy. If she picks up on this it can get dragged into an employment issue.

You may want to let your boss know you've been posting in here and get his input. I think the thread was better off withouit knowing these things.

That's not harsh mate - that's fine. You're entitled to be pissed off - I think most in here would be. She broke it - she pays. If she can't afford it then approach her Mum and Dad. It's not about her being a bad person (that's a whole other conversation) this is simply about responsibility.

Whoever broke your bike should pay for it. Pretty simple really. If she can't afford to right now then she has to get a loan or somehow find the money.

Don't accept responsibility because she's a girl or because she's a workmate. This isn't about disliking her, it's not personal. It's a simple financial transaction. She broke it - and now she needs to get it fixed. How she reacts to that is her decision. You're the good guy here mate... don't forget that.

Insurance got back to me but the convo was all of 2 minutes saying that if i would like to get it assessed to ring them and ask for some dude. But in the meantime it gets really confusing..... Just what you want im sure. And im not enjoying this btw however posting on Kb can be fun

So she sends me a text yesterday saying

I dont think her parents know yet either as i went there and no-ones home so they havn't spoken to me.

I then text her uncle

I dont know if you have heard everything, but basically (insert girls name) sat on my bike without my permission and knocked it over causing damage. I have contacted my insurer but have not yet been assesed anyway my excess is $730 which is significantly less than the damage done. So if i could get even a little bit of co-operation from anyone then she could save herself a lot of money.

He replied

You need to bring the bike and any quotes 4 any alleged damage and evidence of the whole thing to my house tommorow nyt at 7.30. I will be dealing with this from now on.

My reply
