Cats land on their feet. Toast lands jamside down.
A cat glued to some jam toast will hover in quantum indecision
Curiosity was framed; ignorance killed the cat
Fix a computer and it'll break tomorrow.
Teach its owner to fix it and it'll break in some way you've never seen before.
Oh.. so you mean like the blue knights -
Who are a police officer club
Or do you mean like the comrades?
Who are a military veteran support club?
Or do you mean these hard ass outlaw bikers?
I could go on mate.. bike clubs and back patches are dime a dozen in my home country. No reason it shouldn't be otherwise here if people stopped with their negative perceptions.

A really small one? C'mon, no-one really likes Levin, but that's hardly fair on the rest of the town. (although, if the fall-out could be directed to settle on a particular address in Kennedy Drive, that would be grand...ex-M-I-L don't you know)
I'd think that mustard gas would be a starter.

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
I've always wondered why christian's would need to be patched motorcycle club members? Didn't need patches in the stadiums with the lion's....
Patches don't make Gang members? Whats the patch mean then? Besides that your in a gang....large groups of patched members are still intimidating to some people whether your a so called religious group or not....
You had your opinion I've had mine...
Wrong. I do it all the time. No problems. From anyone. Full stop.
For a country that copies so much from US culture, it's a shame this particular bit got so messed up.
Attitudes like is all the more reason people don't wear club patches.
Edit -
Only time I don't wear a BACK one is when out with people who have a problem with it - ie bike rallies. All members of my club wear a smaller one on their shoulder or top front of vests regardless. None of us have been hassled, ever. In fact the patch has made me run into people I've only briefly talked to online but they recognized the club name when they saw it, and came over to say hi.

This problem with Gang Members I think its getting pretty bad around the country. To make a long story short, was in Wanganui a while ago passing through. A car load of Black Power prospects pulled up and made it clear they wanted the Harley (apparently they are looking for Harleys for the gang). Took one look at my man who looks like a one man gang on his own and they left without much of a fuss...bloody scary though. Unfortunately the mentality of gang life is if you do them wrong they are not necessary going to go after YOU but after what you love and that could be innocent family and friends. Its sick.
Patches are worn by alot of Club Members even the Hog Club, there is a difference between Gangs and Club Members. Such as alot of people I know have KB stickers on their bikes, or wear their KB t-shirts to events (even though KB is not a club) but its just to say that we belong to a biking community. The problem isnt the patches its the Gangs, the people in the gangs. The Black Power Prospects werent patched at all, but we knew who they were.Patches don't make Gang members? Whats the patch mean then? Besides that your in a gang....large groups of patched members are still intimidating to some people whether your a so called religious group or not....
How did this rant about patches take over a thread? I duno but I don't see the point in patches other than "hey look at me, don't I just perpetuate that badass biker steriotype you saw in the movies, how shithot is that!"
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
Yea you are right, I cant tell the difference, and I tend to have a good look when I see someone patched. All I know is there is difference... just not sure what it is at the moment. I think from what I have been told about patched gang members its not a good idea to go over and talk to them, so I just stay away from them all. Better to be safe then sorry I suppose. I think it should be choice if you are in a club whether you wear a patch or not, but I think some Clubs make you wear a patch. But don't quote me on that.
