    hi looks like im missing out on something.
    is that a safari tank on your partners bike.
    whats the range on it.
    was just interested as im fitting one to my bike at the moment.

    It's a 15 litre IMS tank for an XR650L. I ordered it from justgastanks.com, and they were really good to deal with.
    Riding on highway it gets about 300k's to reserve, 360 to completely empty. I tend to use less fuel on gravel, so it would go even further then.
    The road to hell is paved...

    Hi mate, it's a 15L IMS tank for an XR650L. I had to make a couple of brackets to make it fit but it's not hard to do. Details are on Advrider:

    Yep, she's up to 67 000 km now, still going strong. I did the bearings in the head & the timing chain a while back, hopefully that'll get me to the 100 000 mark OK.

    Just put up another installment on the report.
