hey man iv had my bike for a year and its in the shop atm getting a rebuild cus its at 10,000km but bfor that its been a pleasure to ride im 85kg so ull be sweet the 125 has much more grunt than the honda plus looks like sex on wheels.as long as u feed it good oil and 98petrol itl be good to u mate cost me nuthin to fill and last bit over 200km going flat out. was told numerous times not to use it as a commuter bike because it is ment for the wide open road but it works just fine i take it out evry week or two for a blat in the country and its been great man....some of those 125cc have been on for awhile im selling mine after the rebuild cus im moving up selling for $4k

A search of KB should reveal lots of info given in respect to previous similar questions about RS125s and RS250s.

You should easily find both the warnings, and the subsequent reports of the events referred to in the warnings having come to fruition.

Learning from the experience of others is less painful than doing it all for yourself...

The new RS125 comes in two forms. One is a about 18bhp, the other one is derestricted to a whopping 33bhp - but you can tune them up to about 40hp apparently - not sure how reliable that would be though.

The way I looked at it is that if your parents are rich enough to buy you an RS125 then don't refuse... if you're paying for it yourself, then stick to something that won't require the same up keep.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Heres one you can have for $80.....
Would really suit a smaller person. Someone who has trouble reaching the ground on a bigger bike.
