Angry No bike = UNBELIEVABLY grumpy

I would just like to apologise to everyone I may have grumbled at in the last few days, and everyone I'm likely to snap at in the near future. I would especially like to apologise to the person I have a red rep to, even they only wrote something averagely offensive. And to everyone whose threads I have decorated with the fiollowing 'smilies':

As someone who is generally fairly even-tempered, I can't believe how grumpy it has made me to have my bike off the road for the last couple of weeks. I'm genuinely surprised what a negative effect it's had on my attitude. I mean, what's that about? It's only a mode of transport, isn't it?!

And it's not even like someone stole it or crashed into it. It was just a mechanical failure that was nobody's fault, and my lovely mechanics are doing their best to fix it.

So anyway I'm just going to carry on being grumpy until I get it back. So WATCH OUT if you pass me on the street. I'll probably stick out my foot and trip you up. Especially if the sun's shining and you're wearing bike gear.

Oh, and if you want to do something to help, please find me a cheap GN250 engine that I can transplant into my Volty.

    Thanks.

    No.
If it was, there'd be no need for a site like this.

I feel neglected - you didn't red rep me, you mean cow.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Not sure you could handle the extra 30hp over your GN

Oh yeah?! Come over here and say that!

    Anyway it's not a GN, it's a Volty. There's a world of difference.

If you don't count the Lead 125 (which I think isn't a bike, but a sort of weird amalgamation of scrap metal, plastic and bad mojo), the crappest bike I've ridden in the last 15 years is a.....

    (wait for it....)

    (wait...........)

    (wait........)

    ...Volty.

    (Is that provocation enough?)

Wash your filthy mouth out, you...you...you...scooter rider (worst insult I could think of)
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Ooooh! That hurts! Mainly because I had to borrow a scooter to go on the BRONZ toy run last weekend!

vifferman, wbks, Maha you're all cruisin' for a bruisin'. When my Volty is fixed up even better than new (if that's possible because she was perfect the way she was ) I'm going to hunt you all down and give you all a good slapping.

No, wait... when I get her back I will be happy again and I'll be too busy riding to hunt you down.

Klingon, this in an appalling and quite unacceptable state of affairs. Men have killeed for enduring less stress than a man deprived of his horse.

And so, this coming Sunday 14th, because I find myself roped into doing beach-things with a bunch of folk, I extend the following offer.

Present yourself at my home on the morning of Sunday, take possession of my lovely Yami Thundercat (with the flash new Scorpion exhaust which is just as hot as my pants and sounds too good to be true) for the day and travel to wherever your heart and mind takes you.

A man must not be deprived of his riding. :--))

Call me on 0274449847 if you're keen.

    Cheers
    David.

    Wow! What a kind offer!

I actually won't take you up on this because
    a) I'm doing a working-bee in my friend's garden all day Sunday and
    b) I would be absolutely terrified of damaging your bike in some way.

    Oh and by the way...

    c) I'm not a man

But anyway your offer has put a smile on my face so I might stop being grumpy for five minutes or so. Thanks!
