Interesting like self flagellation with a rancid hedgehog while riding a unicycle and wearing a brass divers helmet or interesting like I think I will buy this bike?

I'm DEEPLY suspicious of the lack of detail of race mods and the proclaimation it is competitive. Racers don't sell competitive bikes to other competitors unless they are getting something more competitive.... I think...

$6800 top dollar for that & a SV650 in the right hands will be just as quick if not quicker than a 1000cc SV in the tight stuff .

For what its worth I like it, love V twins, imagine that racing with an aftermarket pipe, you'd at least be the coolest on the grid. And I'd favour the yellow

Still looks like fun to ride
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

I think its a great bike! Hell id love to be on one

But i still dont understand whats wrong with the ZXR400? I personally think its capable of winning races.. and you know what i mean - SV650's dont count.

So if you buy an SV650 and race it, you know how we talk about the people currently racing them (haha sorry svs!). At the end of the race all the 250/400 boys just curse and whatnot about them... I personally just wouldnt want to be the person that everybody is saying behind his back "its all the bike man! shit that bikes got like 10HP more then us how is that fair, see it stomp down the straight of Taupo so much faster then us, that doesnt take skill it takes $$$"

I dunno Tony, as much as id love to be on one, and ive said it before and will say it again, i reckon at the last Taupo meeting you or hoon or whatever put on an SV650 would have most probably come 2nd (to the fast guy on the SV650) But did we show any respect for the guy coming first on the SV650? No, because subconciously we dont class them as being in the same, fair, race.

I dont know if you get what im getting at, as im not sure how to say it, but at the track there is definatly a different tone used when talking to a rider on an SV650, not just because of jelousy, but because we know those bikes have more all round performance then ours stock! And who wants to be racing only 3 bikes on the track? as thats about how many SV650's there are in F3.

I dunno, nice bike, would be fun, i just cant justify the cost, for something that when you do ride hard and properly, everyone will be whispering "yeah but hes on an SV650!"

My problem is that its a suzuki. And we all know that they gave it the moniker SV650 because they couldnt figure out how to spell Suberben Utility Vehicle

    KK has a point!

Ya!.I think KK is onto something. When i race against the Duc 900 and SV650's they do not count.Me i 'am racing against the proddy 250's and the proddy 400's.Er whats the point to win when the bike you are on is plainly faster than the others due to cc's?.Why not just get rid of the groupings put a few slower F1 riders in F3 or some TZ250s in there as well!.Just look at some of the jokers in clubmans 150 vs R1 ha ha ha.Whats the point go on someone tell me for f@*& s#@%.They have no balls and should F#@& off and play with someone else.Ooh that feels better!.Back to the sand pit for me i think.Comon peeps really if you cant cut it ride faster,if you cant ride faster practice till you are, don't go buying a bigger bike it's not sporting.
