    Not such an easy rider!

Bikers are more likely to have problems in the bed department, according to new research by a Japanese team.

Studies already claim that cyclists face an increased risk of impotence – and the team of doctors in Osaka now claim that motorbike riders are “likely to share the same problem”. The doctors claim it is because pressure and vibration from the saddle reduces the blood supply to their genitals.

Of the bikers tested, 69 per cent of riders had erectile dysfunction compared with 35per cent in the control group. The older the biker, the worse the problem, with more than nine out of 10 over-50s showing signs of impotence.

By the way, did anyone notice the unintentional irony of the numbers affected?

Actually, try them on a 2 stroke MX bike. I own a RSV-R and a CR250, and I know which one the missus gets more of a, err, "pleasurable ride" out of. Works a treat actually . . . for when I want a "pleasurable ride" of my own

I can concur - I was a racing cyclist and mountainbiker for a couple of decades before I got a motorbike and I can tell you it's bad. I can barely manage 7 or 8 times a day now.

Bob doesn't present the details of the study but I think you'll find that the sexual dysfunction is confined to GSX-R riders. Willy-waving is common among this sector and in fact, one of them actually called his bike a penis extension in a post this week so I rest my case.

    Trolling, moi?
