    F*%K!!!!!!!!!
Now there aren't any XR650 cam chains available in NZ, ex Japan only, f@#k!!!
It's the last piece before puzzle can be assembled!!!
Bugger it, going to put old one back on as was actually still pretty good, (bugger all slack). As I was making up gaskets I made a few spares for each side cover so will fit new cam chain (when it arrives in 10-20 working days ) when I next have the time and inclination to tinker
By the way, had to order a new clutch hub after earlier rookie error, $280 ex japan! yes 10-20 working days! But actually found new one on internet ex USA for $95NZD plus postage and 6-10 days postage

yeah bro go with the .coms some of the postage can seem pricey but its way better than what Bluewing Honda has to offer (insert what i really think of them here @#$% %^&* &^%$ )... i got most of my gear from Bikebandit about 2k worth and the wossner from you know who... even when i had the DRs it was waaayyyy better service from Kientech and alpha sports.com.

Why are you spending all this money on it when you know you really want a DR?

Think you have been spending to much time on here:
    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=409774

(I've read the whole thing thru )!
Personally I just think it would be money wasted, my XR is plenty powerful enough for what I do on it, hotting it up is just shortening it's life!

just doing it to replace PO muppets poor workmanship thats still giving me head aches, NOT doing it for the sake of hotting her up. Its life was shortened by some past muppet, so im just giving life back to it
Thats a good thread alright, ive been thru it and the XR6 one and the countles rebuilds... kinda strange we dont get sick of reading and following the rebuild threads
