there ya go Martin swap his fairing out
I'll still be lurking around, but yes sadly my XR will soon be on trademe if anyone interested
Have bought my 12yr old his first bike (DRZ125L big wheel) and the XR is just to big to putt putt along with him stop start etc.
Have gone for a '04 WR450F so will still be adventuring (Safari tank due to arrive tomorrow).
Really don't want to sell my XR as it is an awesome bike with more farkles that you can shake a stick at but mum says it must go :-(

The reason an XR650 appeals is it's LAMS approved, while the XR650R isn't, i inquired too so i could put "she who must be obeyed" on the piggie but it's a few KW over, but over nonetheless.
ive got a cunning plan.... you get Matts 650 and swap it with my XR600

sadly, convincing the dragon to kick start a big single hasn't been one of my successes so far

I wish but sadly working this weekend.
Safari tank didn't arrive Friday so guess it will be Monday, bike is booked in for road legal compliance Thursday so after that I'll be out there!

But yer can do the Grey wire mod.... Disconnect the grey wire from the CDI & it will revert to the YZF450
ignition timing.... they have both the WR & YZF ignition maps in the CDI...

Not many 650R's on TM at the mo and thought I'd get in before Matt unloads his as well. Rode mine yesterday and it will be sadly missed but a rooted right knee means kick starting is too much. Someones going to get a score! TM price and KB price is not one and the same!

Will be listing as soon as my home computer gets fixed, can't download photos at work to list on trademe

Got my number plate for the WR today bit of a hassle getting compliance but got there in the end
Ordered my Safari tank three weeks ago thru Trevor Pierce Yamaha in chc and was told I would see it in about three days..yeah right still waiting, not very impressed with Trevor, never returned my calls and had originally forgotten to order the tank!
