even though it looks the part the wind was crazy, tried every setting but it just would work right on the pig so tonight i turned it upside down with the narrower side up and she was almost bang on, so i'll give her another trim up tomorrow and she should be right

Looking good Dino, the screen and light setup really modernises the whole look of the bike. It's great thats it's clear, mine is a black perspex and I can't see thru it which is a pain in the arse on slow technical terain

    Supermoto kit

I've been thinking lately to get rid of my supermoto kit for the Xr650R. Haven't used it in a while and I don't forsee the need to put it back on the bike. I was thinking of gauging the "public interest" before putting it on trademe.

    the kit contains:
    - Front and rear wheel (from a CBR250 and machined to fit) with warrantable tyres, spacers, recently replaced bearings and seals.
    - front wheel has oversize brake disk that comes with bracket for the OEM brake caliper
    - Rear wheel comes with sprocket and oversize brake disk that fits with the OEM brake caliper - this one is brand new - never been used. alternatively I can supply the normal CBR250 rear disk and a caliper that can be installed on the XR and fits it (this is how I had it setup when it was with SM wheels)
    - Trailtech vapor speedo assembly
    - supermoto front fender
    - additional OEM kickstand that can be shortened to suit the smaller wheels (instead of cutting the original kickstand).

As a sidenote, the day before removing the SM kit, the bike passed a WOF so everything in this kit is warrantable.

All this for $2000. I know few people buy bikes in winter so if there's no interest here, I won't bother listing it 'till spring.

Price might be slightly high when ya can get S/M wheel set up for $1500 and are stronger than Mags, not taking away that you have everything and more to go straight into the bike. I just rode my 650 to the brass monkey via 3 gravel road passes and had to keep reminding myself that mags can easily be munted with the next pot hole ya hit. What tyres are fitted?

Great fun the BRP in Motard trim and i can run mid pack or better at levels, ruapuna or greymouth s/r on a 11 year old bike with a simular wheel set up!

Its harder to lose weight than gain horsepower.

i reckon that's a pretty good price considering there's tyres and brakes involved... running out of things to sell tho, if i hadn't just run over a dog on my R1 then you'd have a buyer chap

Rear: Michelin PIlot active - decent grip and in seems to last forever
Front: Pirelly Sport Demon - brilliant grip and angle. Once the rear was worn (which never happened) I was planning to get a sport demon for the back too and see if it increases my max lean angle.
