I've never really found discrimination issues. Long ago, i used to find male surprise funny. Miss 15 just got her lunatic plate and she gets lots of kudos from her mates for riding (no car licence yet).
If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun!

I agree, ride it (hard), love it, do it. Who cares...Me! and that's all that matters - me and my bike!!!!!
An experience cannot be proven, intellect and reason cannot prove the beauty of an awesome relationship with a motorbike.

Yep, I used to be a teacher and I got that too. Of course, some of them tried to pretend that they weren't really impressed, but actually they were!

Life is way too short to worry about what others think. There are a lot of judgmental people out there, who really have sad pathetic lives who just like to moan, whinge or put others down to make themselves feel good, but who really cares what they think, you do what you love to do and if that's riding good on ya!

I for one havent had any discrimination really, a couple of people I know have started up riding once they found out I did it, my mums friends think its cool.

Re his attitude... if you're not happy, trade up, PLENTY of guys think biker chicks are seriously hot, and there ain't enough to go round.
Yeah trade up....Lets see what ya look like ? ?

Im looking at trading down atm...

Personally, I dig girls on bikes. There should be more of them out there. Its all the guys getting defensive about women getting in on something that was predominantly a guy thing, even just going against the grain period! Same thing with trades, most female electricians get grief from the guys and most of the time they do a better job!

Just smile and nod and them, jump on your bike and ride away, instantly feeling better and forgetting them in an instant.

    Welcome to the fun side!

I think we all have, I get quite a kick out of messing with people's assumptions in general, so being a woman on a motorbike suits me

There are some ppl that have prejudice toward motorbikes in general. When I did my 1st ever "big" ride I was staying at a mates place and his flatmate said: "Why do ya want to ride a death machine like that?", my reply: "Cos, I really love riding a death machine" (or something similar).

There is always someone with some preconceived idea about almost every situation in life, so just enjoy being you and love what you do...oooo, that's very cheesy!!!

p.s The thing that originally inspired me to ride was watching a doco on 4 women riding across America together! I thought I gotta do that!!
My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
