Remember that GPS speed is out as the delay in the signal being transmitted affects the speed calculation.

However, just remembering that i drove past one of those stationary speed apprantly i was doin 42kmph when the needle was at 50kmph, in the van so i knew it was me.

Can anyone confirm if those things are accurate?

got pulled over by a mufti on boxing day just before the hororata turn off. he checked my record came back and said i already have demerit points and dont want anymore. just got told to slow down and let me carry on. that one act gave me more respect for the police then some ticket happy wanker - and it made me keep an eye on my speed for my next 3 days away...

and he flicked a bee of my jacket that was just about to crawl in

I got away with not ticketing the same rider doing 80kms in a 50 kms zone when I didn't have my full quota for the day. Don't tell the minister!!!!

30k over in a buit up area... pull ya head in.
Perhaps consider coming down from that high horse mate - as I understand it you've earned your own nickname D.

You know full well that there are places out there where 80 km/h in an 50 km/h speedzone is not dangerous, in any imaginable way. Just like there are places out there where going 70 km/h in some 100 km/h zones would see you crash and burn real quickly.

Red face jase the ace . vfr rider .

maybe the policeman hadn't learnt to read in english yet .they are importing them from various foreign countries . Apparantly highway fuzz dont stay in the job long as they really want to become super tecs and dont like persecuting poor motorists for a few ks over the stupid highway limit ...

really 80 ks in a 50 zone is far too fast .u should not speed in a built up area at all. that is why it is restricted simply to keep others safe .

The pansy should have done you like a dinner and given you that "uh-oh, yer over 100 demerits" ticket, obviously you're slow learner and need a real serve, walking for three months might have gott the message through to you.

Any bets as to how long it will take before the "ton" of demerits will be achieved...
