    T.r.e

    Hey all,

Have a question that someone could possibly shed some light on.

I am going to get my bike Teka tuned (Dyno) shortly, as I ditched the twin submarines to a single Jap Yoshi. I can tell its running a little rough. I will probably get a BMC filter at the same time for re-use more than anything. My question is though - Is a Timing Retard Eliminator worth looking at? Does it really give you much more power in the lower gears?

What I am also looking at is sprocket changes. Anyone have experience with the ol Gixxer thous? I am not so fussed about the top speeds as lets face it thats just insane anyway. What is the best way to get more in the lower/mid rev range or best combination of sprockets.

    Cheers all.

Going -1 on the front sprocket is useable fun.
If you're not fussed about the gear indicator you can make your own TRE for under $1 google "bugmanweb"

A well done TEKA tune will solve any gnarly fuelling, Vapor
You'll probably find nothing wrong with the stock gearing after that

I'd go with a K&N filter, too. BMC will let a bit more debris through

We did it on my K4 and it made a huge difference to the hunting that it did at low speeds.
