Got hold of person - he was on a ferry, was going to try and get hold of the guys who were supposed to have picked up my bike, he never called back, it's now 9.35pm and I'm a tad annoyed. I leave for work at 5.30am so they can't even come and pick it up in the morning. So looks like I will be riding the Rebel to Welly on Wednesday - so goodness only knows what time I will get there!!!

Why not make it Kitty O'Sheas for the whole evening?

Anyway, we'll come along around 8pm to Kitty's.

RR: hope you manage to get the bike transport sorted - otherwise you're probably looking at an 8 hour trip on the 250 (just a guess, I'm not sure really) from Aucks to Wellywood.

Nope, cos I'm trading her in. I'll just have to leave at some ungodly hour of the morning. Oh well, it can be our last little adventure together before going bigger, better, faster, and of course when I'm old and grey I can bore people with the story of riding a 250 cruiser from Auckland to Wellington...."Back in my day, when t'sun were brighter, and young 'uns had respect, I rode my 250 cruiser on the road, that's right, road, not like these days on hoverbikes, and the roads were all bumpy and potholed, and ...."

lol I used to work at Kitty O'Shea's, many good times there, lots of free drinks and falling out the door at 6am into a taxi.

How come (if you don't mind me asking, and too bad if you do) you're buying it in Wellington and not D'Auckland? :spudwhat:
We do have Suzuki dealers here, y'know.
A guy I work with bought his SV650 at Holeshot late last year, and they took ever such good care of him - gave him great loaner bikes, good deal, etc. etc.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Exactly. And it's a good excuse to enjoy some Wellington hospitality and do a bit of ticky touring. It will be a decent return ride for me to get to know the bike, it's handling and any quirky characteristics it may have. If I got it in Auckland I would go for local rides, but there are always lots of things I have to do that would get in the way of me getting in decent ride. This way forces me to take the time out to get to know it. And my mum can stop moaning about how I still haven't been down to see her, bla bla bla!

Is all it takes is making sure the customer feels welcome, and emailing a couple of pics of her baby being born.

It's well worth her while to buy it from us too, we'll make sure of that.
