    LAMS.....Learner Approved Motorcycles Something...

Got the Two Wheels mag and NSW and VIC are apparently trialing a power to weight scheme for new riders that will allow them to ride certain bikes up to 660cc.... Now I reckon it's about time that happened. Might kill sales of certain 250cc machines and make others drop dramatically in value. But seeing as i'm way past 250cc learner days what do I care . What are your thoughts on this?

You know what they say - if it starts in Vic/NSW it'll come here. BUT the idea of limiting HP/weight instead of cc is just too sensible for LTSA.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

It would make my XT600 learner Approved..... Same with Hyosung GT650, BMW F650, Suzuki SV650, GS500, Kawasaki ER5 etc..... Cool. Maybe in 10 years LTSA will adopt this strategy. And make rego for scooters free to help deal with urban congestion.
