Sounds 'bout right, with the addition of gearing for age and riding history, of course.Originally Posted by Hitcher

Yes, dammit. I prefer a bit of zing and spice to my gloating, with a hint of meaty rancidity.Originally Posted by Biff Baff

From what I've seen, you've got nuthin' worth insuring..hehehehOriginally Posted by Motu

I know they send out ex dealers to asess values, bit of a stab in the dark...Originally Posted by Oscar

Did you not get a Valentine?
I can get you an agreed value policy if you want.
with no claims and bein 19 they wanted $1600ish a year.
Those who dont learn from history, are doomed to repeat it.
Same as Motu,if I crash it or it goes walk about I'll just save up $1000-1500 an buy another one.
The only bike I ever did insure,I wrote off an the insurance co' dicked me about for months then payed out around half of what I reckon they should of.
From now on I take my chances.
They use David Golightly c/o Vero and I'm with them damn that is a good price you got, did they take into consideration your ins record from the UK? if not buggered if I know how ya did it.Originally Posted by Biff Baff

With AMI its $78 per month for my GS1200SS and $63 per month for the RE5.
House, contents, truck, horse float, and Farm liability all total less than that.
Time to ride
I've just got third party insurance for my Zeal. 40% no claims bonus and it's $35.15 per year.![]()
I'm paying $220 a year full comp with $200 excess ($300 if trashed or stolen within 500m of home).
I have no insurance, but I got two quotes last month...
I am 25, with a 1L licence and a road-sport bike...
One option was for $563/year with $500 excess or $100 for theft.
The other was for $551/year with some odd excess scheme.
Although my bike isn't worth a whole lot, so that's probably not too surprising. I guess the trick is not to buy the expensive bikes.
I don't know. I don't have any official no claims bonus from the UK as I've driven company cars for the last 10 years. The only cars that I did own I managed to throw onto my employers corporate policies anyway.Originally Posted by dangerous
The only crash I've had in a car during the last 15 years was into the rear end of my (at the time) bosses 2 day old Merc, and that was on government property so it was cosidered private land by the insurance company, so for some reason they didn't count it. :spudwhat:
