Thanks all, deal is done. Maybe I could have offered a bit lower and seen if they'd take that but I'm happy, they're happy & will definitely be getting my repeat business also.
Now sitting impatiantly waiting for someone to come get me so I can go collect my new toy. Pics (of the bike) to follow.

    Merry Christmas to meeeeee!

Yep very tidy. The answer to that is 'enough' like I said, in all actuality the ticket price was quite fair given the prices I'd seen for earlier models, I made an offer, he had a think and asked when did I want to take her home

Nice looking bike - I have always liked the SV650. That's the later one - what year and kms? If low kms anything remotely under $8k was excellent value.

2007 with just over 13,000 on the clock.
Very pleased now that I managed to be patiant enough to wait for this one to come along.

    On the shopping list:
1, Radar detector. (bloody hell I love the torque of V-twins)
2, New exhaust. (already sounds good the growlier the better)
3, pack rack (ugly but very worthwhile for the longer trips)

Well done - you were correct in thinking it was good price to start with.

Neptune mufflers in Wellington do a nice pipe for the SV650 - available in several different finishes, and they sound very good.
