Wet roads in Wellington - diesel

    Hi guys,

Just a note to say that there was a bit of diesel by the roundabout by the Petone overbridge. Not too slippery but take care.

    Cheers, Pwalo

bloody hate that.. I remember a time I was going round a fast sweeping corner in the rain, then I smelt something bad, then I saw something bad, then I was on something bad.. All before I could avoid it.. Fortunately I rode over something bad and came out on the other side good..
Just watch it over there then, guys..

I rode in today and there was a heap of petro-chemical stuff just sitting on the road. Lots of blue shiny spots.

However, I had THREE marvelous things happen:

    1. The Avons are the shiznit in the wet. Like astoundingly good.
    2. The big giant expanse of yellow plastic out front of me keeps your legs dry.
    3. The Icon Patrols are shower proof, despite making no claims to being waterproof.

I love Mondays. It's Thursday that sucks.

Oops, I should have posted this earlier...

It rained on Friday and there was Diesel all over the Wellington side of the Paekak hill. Had to tippy toe over it, coz it was slippery as feck.

    Sedge.

My back tyre had lots of odd scratch marks along its circumference this morning.

I'd been wondering what that weird "woo wooo" noise was when I took off from the Silverstream lights this morning.

I guess it must have been the back tyre spinning...

A bit of a worry now that I think about it
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Try the wet on wheelbarrow tyres

Until 'tis morning, I hadn't ridden the scoot since before Xmas. Has reminded me what a dangerous wee bugga he is in the wet. There were oil/diesel drops everywhere from the gorge to The Terrace today.

April now seems too far away before my bike arrives.
Someday we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.
