thanks to Mark_S and Paladin & offer of a bed in Wellywood

MarkS and Paladin - thanks for all the work you've both done in organising this.

Folks travelling from afar - I can offer several of you a bed on the Friday and or Sunday nights if that would be helpful.

PM me if interested - cheers Aslan

    Thumbs up

that sounds good Mark, might even up the travel times a bit as well, which was one of my concerns with that option.

    I'm in (at this stage).

Might take up your offer too thanks Aslan. If no beds are available, a couch, or even a piece of carpet will do. I'm not known to be fussy. I'll let you know a bit closer to the time.

    Cheers,
    Bart

Yep I'm in too. Might have a pillion in which case I will probably do the secnic routes instead of the challenging options, so will be able to help out with them if we have any takers for them.

Then I'll just have to see if the puppy wants to come along.
He'll be up for helping pull the GS (for about 30seconds)

Likewise, I have a good quality sofa bed available if anyone needs a place to kip Friday/Sunday nights.
I could also potentially make 2 bunk beds available too, altho it'll be bring your own bedding/sleeping bags(I have pillows tho) as all I have for those are my daughters Fairy Princess and Winnie the Pooh bedding!!!!!!! The top bunk is a little close to the ceiling for an adult but it'd do for a night or two!

I'm in Eastbourne so we'll have a nice 15min ride "round the Bays" & up over the Wainui hill to the start.

    PM me if interested.
    Cheers, Dave

I'm totally unfamiliar with the ride route & can't even pronounce a lot of the place names, let alone know where they are. So was wondering if someone would be kind enough to post up a rough overlay map, to show the wife it's not just a trip to visit the Tui girls.

Hi if you open the attached image in a new window it should hopefully give you an overview of the first days ride. the blue lines are the "scenic route" the other colours are for the challenging route, and when traveling together.

The other way to find your way is to put the names mentioned in the first post into google maps, and it should bring the areas up for you to look at, unfortunatly I'm on dial up at home, so google wouldn't let me make my own map.

    cheers

    Paul
