Noobies first ride- Hawkes Bay

Well - firstly thanks Motu!- you may remember a thread I posted a few weeks ago looking for a scruffy ADV bike? MOTU responded, I took my trailer to Huntly paid the man, and drove home with a tidy runner Yam XT600 and six fish bins of spares!
Now I off on my first out of town ride in years!- I havent had a road legal bike in over 10 years. so im off to see if there are still trout under the Mohaka bridge and see if Te Mata peak is still a public park. I might even have a look at Haumoana- I hear it is getting washed into the sea!!

Now.... does anyone have a couch for me to rest my head on while im there?
im looking at this Sunday -21st and monday night 22nd then Im off to see the Manawatu on tuesday. some where near Palmy would be nice if I can find a couch there too. perhaps ride a few kilometres with others going in the same direction- not neccissarily Dualsporters. I like to ride with anybody who doesnt ride like a lanesplitting hogriding gangster.
