Any off road trail in Tauranga area?

I'm staying down tauranga for new years.
Should I take my bike down to do some exploring?
Keen to find trail stuff or any other bush\forrest track riding.
Be down from the 28th to the 4th jan.

there are alot of trails round tga can get from pyes pa to tokaroa off road if you know how.Not sure if you are "alowed" in some areas any more but it wasn't to hard to get past gates

Went to Maddix Park yeaterday for Ben Thomassen fundraiser. It was my first time there and what a place. I fell in love with the motox track and the 16 k bush trail was damn good too. I will be visiting Maddix Park again in the near future - check it out. Great bunch of people there too.
