To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded
yea trademe seems pretty good with pulling auctions like that. Ive reported 2 recently that seemed way too good to be true and both got actioned within the day
Just brought 2 bikes off TM this week, very happy with the prices.
98 DR350 with all the flash gear, exhaust, big bore engine kit, cams, big carb, airbox, mint for $1900. Others of that vintage are on there for 3k and more.
Could of got it cheaper as reserve was 1500 if someone did'nt bid against me.
Thats for me.
Brought the missus a 02 Honda XLR for $1200.
Going up to get them boxing day.
Might have to sell my Zuki SP370 as probably wont get around to doing much to it now as 6 bikes frequent the garage now.
If anyon'e interested.
Seems your prediction was accurate and somebody backed out of the deal.
And the Speed Four is back, but not with a $1 reserve this time around.
This previous listing makes it even more interesting really (can anyone say SHILL BIDDING)
Google Cache
I saw a 2006 zx10 going for 7k or near offer on trademe the other day
Hahahahahahahaha
Good excuse though really. Must be costing the guy a heap in relisting feesOriginally Posted by Guy on TradeMe selling bike

The reason I asked the question is threefold
a) So that if he doesnt answer the question (which I severely doubt he will) it will be showing as an unanswered question for the whole duration of his auction (A few unanswered questions ring alarm bells for me when trading on TradeMe)
b) so that after the auction the unanswered questions are revealed and he may be exposed as the fraud which he is
c) If sold in this round and the user "Wula" (the shill bidder) has bumped up the price, the auction winner can take that as a caveat when dealing with the trader
I would love to see a few more ppl, who dont agree with these scams, ask a few pointed questions of the trader.
The part that pisses me off the most in regards to this trader is that he did a $1 reserve and wasnt wiling to abide by the markets decision, and he hasnt abided by his responsibilties as set out in TradeMe's T&C. Of course TradeMe will do nothing about it as they are getting the $68 every time he does this.
