    Smile Yay new bike!

yay got me an early xmas present to myself a week or two back and sold the Kawa 250 and upgraded to a Blackbird. Feel like a one of the big boys now I've all grown up

Don't think our neighbours are appreciating the new bike exhausts though...

Outfitted the One-In-Charge last weekend with riding gear (you know how hard it is to get a XS helmet?), she climbed on the the back and we went for a blat... she definitely approved (judging by the squealing from right behind my head) and I'm allowed to keep it.

Hopefully be out joining the rides again soon....

Yay for new bikes! Mine just arrived home tonight on the back of hubby's trailer in the pouring rain, and while it's not nearly as flash-bro as yours, I'm probably just as excited as you. (It is a Honda though )

    Ride safe & merry xmas

yeah... last owner spent bucketloads adding aftermarket bits...the exhausts are definitely cool looking (and sounding)

Definately taking it easy.... already had one spill while I discovered the hard way that a 1100 is a wee bit heavier to U-turn than a 250 LOL ops: . few scratches and a learning experience....

Honda rocks! (Ok, I'm now a convert... only because I own one now and gotta be seen supporting the team).

Make sure you post pics of yours!

I hear you there lol. Nearly had the same problem when I test rode a brand new Rocket 3. Tight (new) leather pants, gravel, and U turns don't mix. Saved it, but only just. Glad I didn't have to explain that to the shop lol

Yeah well, many seem to say on this site that Honda riders are gay, but seeing as how I'm a chick and men have lesbian fantasies, I figure I'll be ok I'll post some pics one day soon, but not anywhere near that luffly machine of yours! It will be a work in progress so pics will be a must.

A 250 to a b/bird is a big jump, I hope you're up for it? (And I hope you're not a 98lb weakling either!) Take it easy out there matey.

Yeah.... I knew it was a big jump, but couldnt afford to keep changing bikes every 12 months to step up through the CC's.... unless I moved my sleeping arrangements to the couch.. haha ...plus planning on a bit of touring with the missus in the future. Figured I'll take my time and get the hang of it... although I am a bit of a lightweight...so its a challenge. New years resolution #5 : Better make use of that gym membership. LOL

Heh heh, yeah I hear ya! Hubby was looking at going to a litre bike from a 250, but went for the 748 in the end so I was happy

Maybe your other half might jump the fence and learn to ride herself?

    Eat some pies too

Tried convincing her to... but she's quite content in letting me do all the work while she enjoys the ride...

(ok just re-reading that and it sounds really dodgy....)

Bloody typical eh,new bike and crap weather.

And some vehicle spilt a nice trail of diesel along Pioneer Hway and into Main St,loverly looking spectrum of colour except if on 2 wheels.

The jump is only as bad as ya want it to be lol.The right wrist has to be restrained at times, but fun when let loose also.
