    Straightening radiator cooling fins

My radiator sponsor same as booom's and I thought others might find this useful (or at least good for a laugh).

Had rads off to straighten bent mount tabs anyway, so thought I'd have a go at straightening out some manky bent cooling fins too.

I tried this once before using only one screwdriver and found it didn't work well at all as I just stretched them too much. This time I used two straight blade screw drivers. One for a dolly, the other to run along above it (see pic).

As well as looking a whole lot better, I figured putting them back to max air flow wouldn't hurt either. There was a fair bit of dirt stuck around the really bent ones as well. Wish I'd taken a 'before' pic. You cant tell now, but now they were in pretty uglied up in some areas.

Did them sitting in front of the TV last night and it didn't take as long as you might think. Quite therapeutic as well - think of it as knitting for blokes.

You might want to tell qkkid. He loves his Coro and some man knitting seems a logical accompaniment...
