Help a fellow trail rider

one of the guys from the old bull trailriders site is over here on holiday from aus , he's based in gisborne and wants to know if there are any good rides around the area.. he must be keen because he just brought a drz 400 to use while he is here, hes a good guy, and hes an experienced rider/racer,..i was gonna take him to thunder and kimmies but ive hurt my back..yeah i know PUSSY.. any suggestions of where to ride in gisborne would be great or if you need a riding partner im sure he would be keen

theres not a lot happening in the way of trail riding in the near future due to the dryness of the land and the whole fire risk thing the forest owners arent keen, however there is the local mx track which he would need to obtain a key for, or just going for a play out at browns beach on the dunes.

ordinaryly over the rest of the year there is a practice track down by the speedway, but that is also the rythm & vines carpark, so its now been flattened in preparation for that.

so really theres not much on offer at the moment around here for trail riding.

Gyday Fellers,as dave (laser racer) has mentioned above,Im from Aussie yeah I know,Ive come over here to have a look at all the silver ware we use to have

LOL but in all honesty Im a mad keen offroader.I have just purchased a 2000 DRZ400 which I will pickup from Hamilton on the 28th then will be keen on going for a ride,I believe there is something happening at Raglan on the 28th and a two dayer at Huntley on the 2/3 jan so hopefully I will be in attendance. Im a member of www.obtrailriders.com a Aussie based forum mainly do rides all around Sydney. Hope to catch up with some of you guys.
