    Yamaha MT 01

Is this a beautiful work of art or a monster?

Personally I think it's one of the funkiest and coolest looking bikes I've seen for a long time, and it's standard kit is pretty impressive too. It shares many a component with the sprightly R1 as well, so should be a hoot to ride.

Does anybody here have one, or have you ridden one?

No-one here has one - hasn't been released yet (after years of Yamahaha faffing around promising it would be ....)

So - are you trading the Blackybird in on one when it is finally released? :spudwhat:
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or maybe not...

    Quite right, Motu.

It's also wrong to have a bike with a swingarm on the right. All kewl bikes have a swingarm on the left side only.

I've seen a few test ride write ups in some of the bike mags. They all love it. I can't decide weather I'd have a MT-01 or KTM super Duke 990. The hoon in me say's Duke - The old man in me says MT-01. The sensible old man in me says stick to your armchair - I said "fuck off"

Nope - I've still got the sports tourer bug at the moment, so I'll stick with the Bird or maybe get a VFR, or Sprint ST etc et

Now is Ms Biff would allow me to indulge in a second bike.........

The MT-01 looks the biz, but from what I read the Super Duke would kick it's heavy arse. The Super Duke is seriously light for a twin, and the MT-01 is bloody heavy. Can't remember the weights tho, but its something like 255kg for the MT-01 and around 180 for the KTM. The torque of the yammy would be great fun though...
