Warning! Big slick at Westgate roundabout (Auck) (23 Jan)

The new one that comes off the end of the NW. opposite side of the NW, middle lane.

about 30m long, and half a metre wide. Looks to be some tar like shit. I hit some diesel getting on at waterview, and this shit was like ice in comparison.

I lost the rear on it, saved it, next thing I lost the front and lowsided.
The fazer crashes well. Frame slider broke off, a scrape on the tank, bellypan and engine case, as well as usual bar end, mirror and lever.

Anyone going anywhere near that roundabout please take extreme caution.
I have reported it to the construction site (I believe its caused by them) as well as the police. Very nasty stuff.

If anyone also can get a better look at it to maybe confirm what it is, that would help a lot, because someone is going to pay for it. They cant just leave that shit on the road - its against the law.

Shit thanks dude I ride around there a bit too......ratshit man.

Although i'm not surprised that the peice of shit who dropped it left it there, pisses me off, you should have cruised up to the fire station and asked them to take care of it......although i'm sure you would'nt have been thinking like that at the time.....more along the lines of what I would have been thinking........(sh*t Fu*ken cu*t Motherfu*ken peice of Fu*ck!) lol.

Bugger! Sorry to hear about the bin, glad you weren't hurt! Guess this is just another one for the blotted copybook of poor road conditions in NZ!

I ride through that intersection every day, normally turning right from NW in middle lane. I do recall seeing it but managed to avoid it.

    Thanks for the heads up!

Im fruitlessly claiming against the council. I sent a big email, with lots of pictures etc.. (so lots of compelling evidence) and signed it off at the end with
I expect to hear from an assessor from your insurance company shortly to inspect my bike and gear, and to get repairs underway.
